Within this world there exists a hidden world obscured from the vision of most. The surface world presents itself as a relatively happy place where people live contently. In this world it is said that with hard work and dedication your dreams can be achieved. Those that do wrong in the surface world will be punished by society and locked away so that these individuals who disrupt the natural order will no longer be able to do so. These people that fight against the flow of the surface world are those that have been ripped from the flow of normalcy either by internal or external forces. Those painted by society as monsters will soon become them if they were not before. The scorn of humanity is a wrath that freezes the souls of the damned and turns them into something less then human. The truth of the matter is people are not fundamentally different at birth, but the experiences that they have shape them into individuals. Those that become shaped in a way that society disapproves from will be outcast and forever see the world in a new way. Those that exist outside of society see the shadow world. The shadow world is a mirror world of the surface world in which most everything is the same, but it is a darker and bleaker place. It is a world that reveals the lies of false prophets who are only interested in there own well being. Seeing the truth for most will only embitter them further, but a select few will attempt to save society and speak up to tell the truth. These people that are attempting to save this world will only meet with societies scorn and be dismissed as liars. In the surface world liars will be revered as heroes and the heroes will be branded as liars. Truth is something that is detrimental to sustaining a society for it has the power to rock its foundation. People for the most part would rather hear something pleasant that is a lie then something unpleasant that is true. The surface world is a world of lies that people can ignore and live in a type of blissful ignorance. The shadow world is a world of truth and those that can see it cannot rest contently. Is it better to live content and ignorant or aware and unable to be content? That is a choice that each person must make for themselves, but perhaps if enough people chose to see the truth then they would become a majority and be able to rest in peace.
