Review of
Hunter: The Reckoning (Gamecube,XBox,PS2)
By Ryan Wellman

In a world of vampires and werewolves, there are hunters who must protect the sleeping. In the video game, Hunter The Reckoning, there is a martyr, a judge, an avenger, and a defender. Each of these four types of hunters has their own attacks or magical abilities. Some are faster than others, and others are stronger. Throughout the game you will have to decide which character would be the best to use for that particular situation.

I personally did not like this game very much. First of all, for being a game that’s supposed to have Vampires and Werewolves, it mostly had zombies. In fact, a little overkill on the zombies. I didn’t see much new creative stuff in this game, other than a giant killer teddy bear. The combat in this game was very boring and repetitive. That’s all it was too, a giant hack and slash. The music was nothing special either, but it was definitely different. There was no real challenge in this game, except the boredom challenge. If you are able to play any of the levels in this game and not fall asleep, then I say you have passed the test. I was able to get so far before I realized that the next level was just gonna look different, but be more of the same.

Perhaps I’m being a little harsh, but it’s my job to filter out the crap. This game isn’t completely horrible, and could be used as a way to get to sleep at night. However, if you like Gauntlet, and love killing zombies, then this game is for you.
