Review of
Spirit: Pelican’s Wireless Controller (XBox)
By Ryan Wellman

I have read several reviews of Xbox wireless controllers, but have heard nothing but bad. When I saw the Pelican Spirit I wondered how good it would work. It was rather inexpensive, and really fulfilled all of my expectations. This controller has a battery life of over 300 hours, works around corners and through walls, and has two extra buttons on it. Just in case you do not want to push the black and white buttons where they usually are, there is a white button next to the L, and a black button next to the R.

There was not much that the Spirit did not have, being as inexpensive as it was. One thing I noticed however was that it had no vibrate function, but I didn’t seem to miss it. The only other thing was that the extra black and white buttons sometimes stuck, but it didn’t seem to take away from the gameplay at all.

This controller is so awesome that it even comes with it’s own little screwdriver. The batteries insert in the handles, which have screw off covers, and it only requires two AA to work. The receiver hooks up to the Xbox and can be completely covered and still work. The best thing is that there seems to be no delay time. That is a must with today’s high-speed action games. I would say that this is my first choice for wireless Xbox play.

Altogether this controller gets a 9 out of 10
