World Of Lysandus #6:

Aspimiria's Transformations

The very second I saw Mantellan I knew I was truly screwed. I got lucky the first time, there was no way I was going to beat this huge monster in front of me. I knew his weakness though. The gems in his eye were the source of all of his power. Without them, he was a weezle. If only I could attack that weakness, I could come out of here alive.

A second after I thought that, I saw blackness and then the sounds faded. I didn't dream, instead found myself buried in sand. I sat up and the sand fell off of me, but no sound was heard as it fell. I opened my eyes and saw that I was looking at little gray grains of sand. I looked up and it seemed that all of Aspimiria had become different shades of gray. I could feel the wind blowing, and then noticed something very strange. The wind made no sound when it blew at my eardrums. I looked around and saw Orsidium and Dirrinni. I tried to yell for them, and my assumption was correct. All sound had left this world, along with the color. I woke up my friends by shaking them to a conscious state. What the fuck, Orsidium tried to say before he noticed that he couldn't hear himself.

I looked behind me to see how Dirrinni was doing, and noticed that he was gone. I looked around frantically and saw that he was being attacked by some of the evil midgets, the Dark Gallows. I ran over to him as fast as I could, and Orsidium followed cue. One of the freaks lunged at me and started to bite at my face. I tried with all my might to rip it off, and at first I didn't think I could do it. Finally he gave up, exhausted from me squeezing the shit out of it like a shrimp, and released his grip. I held him up and could see the fresh blood all over his teeth. I decided to use him as a mix between a kick ball and a bowling ball, and he slammed into four of his buddies, knocking them about three yards backwards. I looked around and saw that there were now more than two dozen of those sons of bitches standing around. There was no way we could have fought off all of them. They had gotten stronger since the last time I saw them, and that might have been because of the transformation of the world. They closed in on the three of us, slowly getting closer and closer. It seemed like there was now an endless amount of them pouring over the black and white hills of Aspimiria.

Suddenly a thin pink light sparkled underneath me. Then it burst out from under and grabbed us, carrying us out of the sand and up into the gray sky. I looked down and saw the pissed off midgets jumping up and trying to bite my feet. The pink light carried us up to a mountain top that was nearby and dropped us off. I had never been on one of these mountains before, and the altitude change was very strange. Then suddenly the color started to come back in a bubble around the light. I could see the shape of a woman appearing. The bubble of colors grew and grew until the whole space we were standing in was full of bright colors. I looked off the side of the cliff and noticed that below the bubble was still grays. She spoke when I looked back at her. She looked much like me, only she had hair and her skin was a gray color. She had wings growing out of her back, and I figured who she was as soon as I saw her.

"I am Alesandra, me and Lysandus have already met. I suppose you and you are Orsidium and Dirrinni." They nodded. "Well it seems as if you three are in deep shit. You are all very stupid, but especially you Lysandus." I looked at her like an accused junky. Very pissed off, but not because someone made fun of me, but mad because I knew she was right. "I am now the only hope for this world, and yours. Remember when I told you that I was raised by the Gallows?" I nodded and lifted an eyebrow at her.

"Well what I didn't tell you is that I was born from the same planet you were. The name of our planet was Fahlls. When I was young... too young to talk, but not too young to remember, our world was attacked by another race, a much more powerful one. Few survived the attacks, the ones that did opened gateways between dimensions. Your mother and father were sent to your world, Dussyllia, although I have no idea what happened to your mom in the end. I was sent to this world, alone. Your father was one of the one's who had created the dimensional doors, and he found a way to track me down after 9 years of living there with the Gallows. After living on Dussyllia so long, he had forgotten his native language, but so had I. Slowly he taught me your language, and slowly he taught me how to fight. His name was Ghester, and he was a very good fighter. I knew you were his son when I saw the very same hat on your head. That hat has power, if you didn't know already."

I nodded. "The Gallows told me that. They also mentioned my father, but said nothing about him." She frowned and looked at the floor.

"Yes, the Gallows have finally changed as they said they would. They had seen this happening, but knew no way in which to prevent it. Even though your father had taught me much, I was not able to defend against Adradiggi. He was a master of the demons, and he tried to make my soul evil so that the Gallows would become evil as well. He lost in the battle, somehow, my soul was too strong for him. He was able to kill me however, by forcing your father to kill me.... I do not blame your father for my death however.

"The Gifts were too pure for him, and he was unable to grab them. He then found an evil partner, Mantellan, who eventually gathered most of the Gifts. Some of them however, were in your father's possession, and his sanity was long behind him. Mantellan however, was much more powerful than Ghester, and with his final attack, he almost completely disintegrated your father and the Gifts, and released Adradiggi's hold on him. Your father's ashes combined with the ashes of the Gifts, and sank into the sand. Your father's soul was once again free from demonic possession. Even though his body was gone his spirit still roamed beneath Aspimiria. Over the years his ghost was able to harness enough energy to reconstruct the Gems that Mantellan had destroyed. As a result of his work the crystals grew up from the cave floor. The soul of your father resides in one those crystals beneath the sand. For quite a while, he was what kept the remaining bit of sanity in this world, until you arrived. You ruined everything Lysandus."
