World Of Lysandus #8:

The Decision

In the few seconds that all seems lost, there is a bit of rational insanity that flows through my thoughts. In other words, I get my best ideas. Thoughts fly around in a tornado like a spinning demon about to rip itself apart. In the end there is only one straw of hope. One needle left unfound. That's what I needed. That's what I searched for. I looked over at the skies of Aspimiria and mentally left. When I came back I had an idea.

I looked at Alesandra. "We need to hunt Evil down. Is there a way you can give me any more powers?"

Alesandra frowned, but her eye contact never wavered. "I have no energy left, the only power I still hold keeps me alive, it keeps me from melting out of existence."

"Then let me eat you."

"What?"

"Let me devour your soul. You can live inside of me with all the other souls. You can make me stronger, and I will keep you safe inside of me. Together we can win this." I looked at her seriously. She still held her frown. I could tell she didn't like the idea, but I could also tell she knew it was the only way.

"Fine." She turned into a pink light again and shot towards me. She went through my stomach and then dissolved into my being. I could feel her energy, the energy of a thousand angels. This power was unbelievable. I could sense the fight which was going on. Insidious against Evil. They both seemed to be holding their own, and I decided it was time for me to make an appearance. I would have to leave my friends here though, they would just get in the way.

With my new energy, I was able to fly at an amazing speed. I shot up into the sky and was gone. I could hear Dirrinni and Orsidium telling me to wait for them, but there was no chance. They would die instantly if what I was sensing was right. This new evil force was amazingly powerful.

I found them and watched from a distance. Insidious had a sword which was made of a black substance, a sword made out of some sort of magical alchemy. It glowed with a red tint. It swung relentlessly on Evil. Evil sensed me and looked up. Insidious took little time to ask questions, and sliced off both of his hands. He dropped the gems to the sand. They started to sink and I flew down with all my speed. Before I could reach them however, Insidious swung his sword and hit the gems. A flash of light brighter than any I've ever seen exploded out of the gems. I was thrown backwards and skidded on the sand. I got up and looked around. Evil was gone, but Insidious remained standing in the same place. I flew over to him and he got in a defensive stance. I stopped and lowered to the sand. "Where did he go?"

"It's finished," was all that he said. Then Insidious melted into a black oil puddle and sank into the sand. I ran over and started digging for the gems. They were nowhere to be found. Were they destroyed? I couldn't believe it. Suddenly I sensed Evil's presence floating above me. His hands were back and he was holding the Blue Gem, the one that had my fathers soul in it. He knew as well as I did that this one was indestructible. He floated down to greet me, smiling with his blood stained grin.

"Hello pussy bitch, are you ready to die?"

"You can't even touch me you little fuckin bitch." I jumped in his direction and kicked him square in the gut, sending him flying backwards. He slowly got up and smiled. Then he disappeared and reappeared right in front of me. He shoved his glove into my stomach and tried to drain my life force. I could feel Alesandra fighting him from within, and I tried to hold on to her as she slowly slipped into him. The other souls in me could do nothing except nibble at his hand, and it did no good. I shoved my glove into his face and searched for my only true answer. I knew that Evil was ten times as powerful as me, but I also knew that he had a weakness. Because he was made out of me, he had my cunning, speed and wit, but he also had my emotions. He had my memories and my morals. Since he was a clone, he was still partially me. I searched for my dormant memories in him, and found them. I woke them up and gave them power. He relaxed his grip and slipped his glove out. I pulled out my glove and searched his thoughts.

"What is happening to me?" His eyes dropped to the ground. He thought of all the innocent people that he killed. Even that didn't bother him as much as how much he knew he liked it. He had tasted blood, and would never be the same. He dropped the gem and I picked it up. I felt the power of my father course through my veins. Insidious jumped up out of the sand and pulled out his sword. He fixed his eyes on the gem and swung. I had less than a second to react. I jumped backwards and Insidious followed. Then Evil spoke up, only his voice was different somehow. "Give me the gem Lysandus, only I am strong enough to defeat him. Give me the gem and leave us to fight."

Insidious stopped and looked at Evil. I threw the gem over to him, knowing that I was putting my life in the hands of a murderer. Insidious took his sword and held it up. It started to glow blue and he brought it down. The fabric of reality broke, and I could see a wormhole open in the middle of nowhere. He had cut through the dimensions. He looked at Evil and invited him in. Then they were both gone.
